FUN HOUSE letters spelled out on the sofa
This week, I met up with my friend Joy from @omnivorous_meerkat at the Fun House installation in the National Building Museum. The installation is only open for one more week (until Sept 3), so if you haven’t been yet… this is the time to go! Fun House showcases a sequence of interactive room featuring some of Snarkitecture’s well-known pieces from years before, as well as new ones that they’ve designed for this installation.
The tickets to the Fun House only grant you one hour entry. However, the tickets also grant you complimentary access to 8 other exhibits that are going on in the National Building Museum. Some of the exhibits included: the rise in evictions in US, racial equality, growth in shared living spaces… What really stood out to me about all of these exhibits was that they were current topics, and also shared in a visually and easily digestible way. Each of the exhibits had a guide (or multiple) that were very eager to explore each of the topics more with visitors.
Wearing jumpsuit from FaithfullTheBrand and received so many compliments. Linked down below!
So.. the final verdict is, come for the *white aesthetic* but stay for the museum. I grew up in the DC area but I’ve never been to this museum before, so it was very fun to explore something new. Let me know if you plan on coming in the comments below!
xx Molly
