I’m totally a glamping kinda gal… so it’s no surprise that Mendocino Grove is right up my alley! It’s camping but totally bougie and I don’t mind it. First of all, their facilities are amazing. The bed is heated, to the point I had to put one leg out of the bed to cool off. There’s a small fire pit outside of each tent (perfect for s’mores). Fresh brewed coffee in the morning. And lastly, but most importantly, so close to nature!
We drove out here Friday afternoon and spent the full day Saturday exploring Mendocino before heading back on Sunday. It was my first time in Mendocino and while it was a bit gray, it was still loads of fun.
Some activities I recommend:
- Rent an outrigger at Catch-A-Canoe (go early in case everything goes out!)
- Visit Mendocino Botanical Garden
- Hike along the Mendocino Coastal Headlands
What I recommend packing:
- Kitchen utensils for cooking
- Bug spray (!!)
- Re-usable water bottle
- Warm sweater/jacket for chilly mornings and evenings
- Pants that can get dirty
You can book a tent at the Mendocino Grove campsite. They are also on Airbnb here. You can use this link for $40 off your first booking through Airbnb.
