My Camera Gear 2018

I want to share with you all my current camera set up that I use to take all of my photos! I do add pieces of gear from time-to-time (tons of things are always on my wishlist hello Santa!!), but these are the absolute essentials. I upgraded to this set up earlier this year and saw a drastic improvement in the quality of my photos. If you’re looking to upgrade your equipment this holiday season, this is what I’d recommend.

Camera Body

I’ve been a Sony user for years, and their mirrorless cameras are the BEST in the industry. They’re light which makes it perfect for travel. The Sony a7R II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera is also full-frame, 42MP, 4K video, which gives you the versatility to do prints (because its so high quality), and video.

 

Camera Lens

The Sony 16-35mm is pretty much my go-to lens. It’s perfect for landscape, street, fashion photography and also gives you good wiggle room for cropping images on Instagram.

 

Tripod

I depend on my tripod so much when I travel by myself, or when I shoot couple photos of me and the BF. I recommend getting a very sturdy tripod, because your camera is expensive, and also heavy, and you don’t want it to fall! I’ve been using the Zomei Q555 Lightweight Alluminum Alloy Camera Tripod, with a Camera L Bracket to balance out the weight of the camera.
